You likely have seen people flying or unrealistic landscapes or even fantastic creatures in a video. But have you ever wondered how these scenes were made?
All of this high-tech fakery is possible thanks to a process called chroma key, most commonly known as green screen due to its color.
This process allows technicians to separate the green screen from the people standing in front of it and easily replace the background by whatever they want. From animated characters to landscapes, almost everything is possible. So you can easily set a familiar place but as it was 50 years ago. You can make fly the famous Harry Potter while he is just sitting on a broom in front of a green screen. Of course you would need a big fan too, to make it seem he was moving (by making his hair and clothes move!).
The process requires recorded video, a live video feed or computer output, and mostly you have to isolate and remove a single color. And why the green? Because it is simply a color very different from human skin tones and aren’t usually found in clothing.
To conclude, you can personalize your video according to your will. If you are in need, you can contact us as we have a Green Screen room ideal for training videos or youtube productions.
